About Us

The Fiji Public Services Association was founded in 1943 with links to the Association of European Civil Servants which was formed back in 1921. FPSA has almost 3000 membership with a long history of fighting for the rights of workers in the country.

Strategic intent

FPSA advocates for workers’ rights by promoting decent employment for members, equal opportunity, social justice, retirement security and promote international labour standards.

Through integrated and robust approach we aspire to enable safer and more dignified workplaces, and improve socio-economic status for members.

FPSA campaign for quality publicly owned public services. We advocate for workers and service users, promoting how public services can benefit all of society.

FPSA advocate for a fairer, more equitable and inclusive society that provide protections, rights and entitlements for all. We treat everyone fairly and equally.

FPSA promote solidarity, unity, standing with workers to protect and improve their rights. We work internationally to promote labour standards, trade union and human rights across the world, in collaboration with global trade union federations
